3D Image Technician

1st Shift | 7:00 AM–3:30 PM | Overtime as Needed


Turn medical imaging into 3D models used to help plan robotic-assisted surgeries.

Our client, a global leader in the medical device industry, is seeking a 3D Image Technician to transform 2D CT scans into detailed 3D anatomical models used in robotic-assisted surgical procedures.

In this role, your work will directly support the planning of procedures including total knee and total hip replacements. You’ll use specialized imaging software to review CT scans, create digital bone models, develop pre-operative surgical plans, and ensure each case meets established accuracy and quality requirements.


This is a unique opportunity for someone with an interest in medical imaging, anatomy, healthcare technology, or robotic surgery who is highly detail-oriented and comfortable working with specialized computer software.

What You’ll Do

  • Review CT scans to ensure they meet established robotic surgery imaging protocols.
  • Segment CT scan data using specialized software to create accurate 3D anatomical bone models.
  • Develop pre-operative surgical plans for robotically assisted total hip and total knee replacement procedures.
  • Review CT segmentations and surgical plans for accuracy, including anatomical landmarks, implant sizing, and positioning.
  • Create and manage cases using a proprietary case management system.
  • Upload completed surgical pre-plans for field-based personnel.
  • Document case activities according to established procedures and requirements.
  • Follow detailed work instructions to consistently deliver accurate, high-quality output.
  • Manage multiple cases and priorities within a fast-paced technical environment.


What We’re Looking For

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 2 years of professional work experience.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow precise procedures.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong English reading and communication skills.


Preferred Experience

You may be especially well suited for this opportunity if you have experience or education in one or more of the following areas:

  • Radiology, CT, X-Ray, or MRI
  • Nursing or another healthcare-related field
  • Anatomy or completion of college-level anatomy coursework
  • Medical imaging or image-processing software
  • Materialise MIMICS
  • Salesforce
  • Adobe Photoshop
  • Customer service or other detail-oriented technical work
