Job Description
INTAKE NAVIGATOR III
The Eligibility and Entitlement Specialist is responsible for addressing and managing eligibility and enrollment issues, including but not limited to Medicare and Medicaid eligibility, entitlements issues, and Medicaid renewal. The Eligibility and Entitlement Specialist will develop, analyze, and prepare reports for the department. This person is expected to maintain ethical conduct and will be responsible for the quality and satisfaction of prospective and current participants, caregivers, and referral sources.
Experience:
- Two to three (2-3) years of experience with Nursing Home, Medicaid, Medicare, MLTC, MAP, D-SNP, and/or PACE long-term care products and administrative management responsibilities, and/or experience working in Social Services or a related government agency.
- Deep knowledge of community-based long-term care services and Medicare and Medicaid eligibility for dual eligible and frail adult population.
- Knowledge of resolving Medicare and Medicaid eligibility issues.
- Comprehensive understanding of federal and state regulatory requirements with respect to health care eligibility, coverage, and services of various public programs.
Location: Allerton (Bronx)
Setting: On-site
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am-5:00pm, (1 hour lunch) (FT)
