What You’ll Do

As a Production Operator I, you will play a key role in preparing simple recipes, setting up equipment, and supporting batch processing from prep to final transfer.

• Machine Operation: Control, tend, and monitor industrial food processing equipment including kettles, cookers, vats, boilers, and pumps.
• Recipe Execution: Read recipes and formulas; accurately weigh, measure, and load raw ingredients.
• Quality Assurance: Inspect product samples during production for color, viscosity, acidity, and temperature. Maintain accurate batch logs and test data.
• Sanitation & Safety: Clean and sanitize equipment using standard sterilizing solutions; ensure strict compliance with food safety protocols.
• Material Handling: Move, box, and transfer finished materials to cooling and storage areas.

What We’re Looking For

• Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Experience: 1–2 years of food manufacturing experience in a commercial or industrial environment.
• Industry Standards: Knowledge of food safety standards (FDA, GMP, SQF, HACCP).
• Technical & Basic Skills: Familiarity with industrial cooking equipment (kettles, boilers, floor scales) and basic math/computer skills (Excel, Outlook).
• Certifications: Ability to obtain a forklift certification.
• Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand/walk for 8-hour shifts, lift up to 40 lbs. unassisted, and work comfortably in a commercial food production setting (varying temperatures/humidity).
