Bread Production Worker

Location: Montebello, CA
Pay: $16.90 per hour
Schedule: Full-Time — 40 hours guaranteed per week
Overtime: Available based on business needs

We are looking for reliable and hardworking Bread Production Workers to join our bakery production team in Montebello. This position involves hands-on bread production in a fast-paced environment and requires working around commercial ovens, warm and hot water, and heavy equipment.

The ideal candidate is dependable, comfortable working in a hot environment, and able to perform physically demanding tasks safely and efficiently.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist with daily bread and bakery production.
• Prepare, mix, shape, and handle dough and other ingredients.
• Load and unload products from commercial ovens.
• Work safely around hot ovens and other bakery equipment.
• Work with warm and hot water during production and cleaning activities.
• Lift, carry, push, and move heavy ingredients, trays, racks, and finished products.
• Maintain a clean and organized production area.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
• Follow production instructions and meet daily production requirements.
• Perform other general bakery and production duties as assigned.

Physical & Working Environment

• Work is performed in a hot bakery production environment, particularly around commercial ovens.
• Position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, and carrying.
• Must be able to perform heavy physical work throughout the shift.
• Regular exposure to warm/hot water and hot production equipment.
• Ability to safely handle bakery products, equipment, trays, racks, and ingredients.
• Must follow all required safety procedures and use provided protective equipment.

Qualifications

• Previous bakery, food production, manufacturing, or warehouse experience is helpful but not required.
• Must be dependable and punctual.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Must be comfortable working in a hot environment and performing physically demanding work.
• Willingness to work overtime when needed
