M&N Plumbing Supply is a family-owned plumbing and heating wholesale distributor serving professional contractors throughout Colorado. We're looking for a friendly, dependable, customer-focused individual to join our Steamboat Springs team in Counter Sales.

This is a customer-facing sales position working primarily with professional plumbers, HVAC contractors, builders, and other tradespeople. You'll help customers find the products they need, enter orders, provide pricing, check inventory, answer questions, and build relationships with the contractors who rely on M&N every day.

No plumbing experience? No problem. We'll teach you the products and the industry.

We're more interested in finding someone with good people skills, a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.

What You'll Do

·         Assist professional contractors at the sales counter.

·         Handle customer calls and inside sales inquiries.

·         Enter and process customer orders.

·         Provide pricing and check product availability.

·         Help customers identify and select the right products.

·         Learn our plumbing and heating product lines.

·         Develop relationships with existing customers.

·         Help identify opportunities to increase sales with our contractor customers.

·         Coordinate customer orders with purchasing and warehouse personnel.

·         Follow up on customer orders and product availability.

·         Help pull and stage orders when needed.

·         Assist with inventory and general branch operations.

·         Maintain an organized and professional sales-counter environment.

·         Work as part of a small team where everyone contributes to the success of the branch.

Who We're Looking For

You don't need to come from the plumbing industry. Someone with experience in counter sales, inside sales, customer service, construction supply, building materials, auto parts, hardware, HVAC, electrical supply, industrial distribution, or a similar business could be a great fit.

More important is your ability to work with customers, learn products, solve problems, and follow through.

Qualifications

·         Friendly, professional, and customer-focused.

·         Dependable with excellent attendance.

·         Strong communication skills.

·         Comfortable talking with customers in person and over the phone.

·         Strong attention to detail.

·         Willingness to learn plumbing and heating products.

·         Comfortable using computers and learning our order-entry system.

·         Able to work independently and as part of a small team.

·         Sales or customer-service experience preferred.

·         Plumbing, HVAC, construction, or wholesale distribution experience is a plus but not required.

·         Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Schedule

Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-4:00 PM. No weekends.

Overtime opportunities are available and are more common during our busy summer months. During the slower winter season, we can offer greater schedule flexibility when business levels allow.

Compensation & Benefits

·         $28.00-$30.00 per hour, depending on experience.
