Job Summary
Xray Technologist in the radiology specialty located in the healthcare setting. This position involves performing routine portable and fluoroscopic procedures, including operating room procedures, as requested by referring physicians. The role focuses on delivering accurate, timely, and reliable imaging services to support quality patient care and regulatory compliance.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week, for a 13-week assignment (7 days on, 7 days off) from 5 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Required Qualifications: Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology; NYS Radiology Technologist license; ARRT (R) certification; BLS Certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross); minimum 1 year of experience.
  • Demonstrates the ability to perform routine portable and fluoroscopic procedures, as well as operating room procedures, as requested by referring physicians with all required documentation.
  • Establishes effective communication with referring physicians, radiologists, ancillary departments, and customers to ensure quality patient care.
  • Ensures proper safety procedures are followed, including radiation safety practices according to ALARA principles.
  • Demonstrates working knowledge of information service systems.
  • Provides patient education and thorough documentation to optimize quality of care.
  • Adheres to clinical principles, methods, and procedures while performing or supervising imaging and radiologic diagnostic procedures.
  • Complies with all hospital policies and procedures pertaining to incident reporting.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
