We are seeking an experienced Licensed Journeyman Electrician for a commercial project doing a hospital addition.
Must have a Kentucky Journeyman License or be able to reciprocate (Ohio, Louisiana, Virginia, and West Virginia).
Project Details:
- Working 5 days, 10 hour shifts, 50 hours a week.
- Duration at least 1 year
- Per Diem $75 for qualified personnel
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee daily operations on assigned commercial electrical projects
- Supervise, mentor, and coordinate apprentices and field electricians
- Plan and assign daily work to ensure project milestones and deadlines are met
- Install, maintain, and repair commercial electrical systems as needed
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints, specifications, and project drawings
- Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, inspectors, and other trades
- Bend and install EMT, rigid conduit, cable tray, and other raceway systems
- Install panels, switchgear, lighting systems, feeders, and commercial electrical equipment
- Troubleshoot electrical systems and resolve field issues efficiently
- Ensure all work complies with NEC, local electrical codes, and OSHA safety standards
- Conduct job site safety meetings and maintain a clean, organized, and productive work environment
- Track material needs, identify shortages, and coordinate deliveries
- Perform quality control inspections to ensure work meets company and customer expectations
- Complete daily reports and communicate project progress to management
Required Qualifications:
- Current KY Journeyman Electrician license
- Must be able to speak fluent English
- Proven experience leading commercial electrical projects and field crews
- Strong knowledge of NEC, commercial electrical systems, and construction practices
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents
- Experience coordinating multiple tasks and maintaining project schedules
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational abilities
- Commitment to quality workmanship and job site safety
- Ability to operate lifts and work from ladders and scaffolding
