Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an outpatient therapy setting requiring at least 1 year of relevant experience and Epic EMR proficiency.
Details
- Outpatient therapy department setting
- Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:30pm with variable hours
- 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day, 5 days per week
- No weekend or holiday shifts required
- Treats patients of all ages with orthopedic and neurologic conditions
- Performs objective testing for range of motion, strength, and functional task performance
- Applies taping techniques for stabilization, facilitation, or inhibition of movement
- Utilizes therapeutic modalities including ultrasound, interferential, and iontophoresis
- Uses Epic for charting and daily documentation
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy required
- Minimum 1 year of relevant Physical Therapy experience required
- IL PT license required if applicable
- BLS-AHA certification required
- Epic EMR charting experience required
- Experience with screening procedures and objective testing methods required
- Skilled in application of therapeutic modalities and taping techniques
Additional Information
- Evaluates and treats patients of all ages, adjusting plan of care as needed based on patient response
- Serves as a clinical resource and role model for staff and students
- Designs individualized plans of care integrating goals, treatment, and discharge planning
- Educates patients, families, and caregivers using effective teaching methods
- Communicates with referring providers on patient progress and treatment recommendations
- Monitors and provides feedback on care delivered by support personnel
- Radius rule of 50 miles applies; local candidates within this radius are not eligible
- RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
- Previous Carle Health workers must complete a 6-month break in service after 1 year of continuous assignment before returning
