About this job
About the company
Our client is an industrial technology company.
The role
Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Build and lead a new operations team from scratch, taking responsibility for service delivery once customer rollouts are complete. The role blends people management, safety and quality oversight, and hands-on coordination at customer sites, and it suits someone who enjoys creating structure where none exists. Substantial travel is part of the job.
What you'll do
- Lead the performance of active customer engagements, watching key metrics, service commitments, reliability, safety and quality.
- Hire, onboard, train and manage a team of operators, including shift patterns, staffing plans and coaching.
- Expand customer accounts from small starting deployments to considerably larger ones while holding operating standards steady.
- Spend extended periods at customer locations to keep work running smoothly and build strong client relationships.
- Help stand up a new local base of operations by arranging facilities, vendors, tooling and day-to-day working routines as an early team member.
Requirements
What we're looking for
- 5 to 10 years of operations management experience, ideally in technology-driven or industrial settings.
- Experience launching new offerings or establishing operations in a fast-moving company.
- A record of managing, training and developing shift-based teams.
- Comfort working hands-on alongside equipment, operators and customer staff.
- Ability to thrive in ambiguity and build processes from the ground up.
- Based in Austin, Texas.
- Willingness to travel out of state for extended on-site stays at customer locations.
