Job Description
We are seeking a Motor Control Design Engineer to support the development of advanced motion control systems used in precision military and defense applications. This role will focus on the design, development, integration, and testing of motor control hardware and real-time control systems for antenna positioning, tracking, and stabilization platforms.
The ideal candidate will have experience with servo systems, brushless motor drives, PCB design, analog and digital electronics, and closed-loop control systems.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop motor control and servo control hardware.
- Create and analyze analog and digital circuit designs, schematics, and PCBs.
- Develop and integrate brushless motor drive solutions.
- Design, implement, and tune PID control loops.
- Support real-time control system development and hardware integration.
- Troubleshoot and debug electrical and control system issues.
- Participate in system integration, testing, and design reviews.
- Collaborate with systems, software, firmware, mechanical, and manufacturing teams throughout the product lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Experience with motor control or servo control system design.
- Experience with brushless motor drives.
- PCB and electronic hardware design experience.
- Experience creating analog and digital schematics.
- Experience tuning PID control loops.
- Experience with real-time control systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with antenna positioning, gimbal control, tracking, or stabilization systems.
- Military, aerospace, or defense industry experience.
- Knowledge of lead-lag compensation and advanced control algorithms.
- Experience with system integration and interface control documentation.
- Experience with high-precision motion control applications.
