Job Description
We are seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to perform MRI procedures safely and accurately while providing excellent patient care. The technologist will prepare patients, perform MRI exams, follow MR safety standards, and ensure high-quality diagnostic images.
Responsibilities
- Perform MRI examinations according to established protocols.
- Prepare and position patients for MRI procedures.
- Assess images for quality and correct patient identification.
- Perform venipuncture, maintain IV access, and administer medications as required.
- Follow ACR MR safety guidelines and screen patients for implants and other safety risks.
- Respond appropriately to emergency situations.
- Maintain accurate documentation and complete quality assurance activities.
- Educate patients, students, and healthcare staff on MRI procedures and safety.
- Support the overall clinical and technical needs of the MRI department.
Requirements
- Graduate of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology or MRI program.
- ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification required.
- BLS (AHA) certification required.
- Strong knowledge of MRI techniques, anatomy, positioning, and MR safety.
- Excellent patient-care and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team.
