Journeyman Electrician (Data Center Construction)

Pay Rate: $30.00 - $37.00/hour
Per Diem: $150/day

Overview

Insight Global is seeking skilled, licensed Journeyman Electricians to support the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems on mission-critical data center construction projects in Haskell, Texas.

This role involves installing and terminating electrical infrastructure, reading and interpreting blueprints and construction documents, and ensuring all work is completed according to project specifications, electrical codes, and safety regulations. Candidates should be comfortable working on large-scale construction sites and contributing to fast-paced hyperscale data center projects.

Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, and test electrical systems and equipment
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and construction documents
• Perform conduit installation, cable pulling, equipment installation, and electrical terminations
• Support commissioning and startup activities
• Ensure all work complies with NEC standards, project specifications, and safety requirements
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues as needed
• Mentor and provide guidance to apprentices and less experienced electricians
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Required Qualifications

• Active Texas Journeyman Electrician License
• OSHA 10 Certification
• Minimum 1 year of hyperscale data center experience
• Experience working on large commercial or mission-critical electrical construction projects
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications
• Strong understanding of electrical safety practices and code compliance

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with data center commissioning activities
• Previous experience leading crews or mentoring apprentices
• Familiarity with mission-critical electrical infrastructure, including switchgear, UPS systems, generators, and distribution equipment

Compensation & Benefits

• $30.00 - $37.00/hour
