This onsite role is ideal for someone who thrives in a high-volume hospital setting and can balance accuracy, compassion, and efficiency while assisting patients and coordinating essential intake information. The position plays a key role in maintaining smooth access to care, supporting compliance standards, and helping the organization avoid delays in registration, billing, and reimbursement.

Responsibilities:

• Confirm coverage information, review eligibility, and obtain required forms, signatures, and supporting documents before services are processed.

• Communicate clearly with patients and families to explain registration steps, financial obligations, and documentation needs in a thorough and service-focused manner.

• Collect payments and handle cash-related transactions in accordance with hospital procedures, reconciliation standards, and revenue-cycle expectations.

• Coordinate with clinical teams, physician offices, insurance representatives, and internal departments to resolve registration issues and prevent delays in care or billing.

• Monitor records for completeness, help reduce duplicate accounts, and ensure patient information remains current, accurate, and confidential.

• Support access areas such as emergency, admitting, outpatient, and maternity registration based on staffing needs and assigned schedules.

• Follow hospital policies, payer guidelines, and regulatory requirements to maintain compliance across patient access and financial clearance activities.

• Comfort working varied 8-hour shifts, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Solid documentation skills with close attention to accuracy, confidentiality, and procedural compliance.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks at once while maintaining professionalism and dependable follow-through.
• Effective communication skills in English, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments and with patients and families.
