Job Description
We are positioned on virtually every aircraft flying today, supplying reliable systems that are supportable and add value for customers. This position is 100% onsite. We are seeking a Supply Specialist to serve as the primary point of contact for holistic end-to-end management of assigned suppliers within the EA MMA organization. The ideal candidate will have experience in supplier management, procurement, and supply chain performance and a proven ability to drive inventory, quality, and delivery outcomes while supporting factory needs.
Responsibilities:
· Manage end-to-end supplier surveillance, monitoring, and relationship development to meet business requirements.
· Conduct daily and weekly supplier management and convert demand signals into compliant purchase orders per contractual terms and processes.
· Provide effective purchase order management to ensure current and verified delivery information using standard systems and processes.
· Establish supplier cadence to support expedites and reschedules and ensure site operational requirements are met.
· Evaluate supplier performance, identify risks, and implement mitigation plans.
· Drive root cause investigations and corrective actions for continuous supplier improvement and ensure timely closure.
· Lead problem-solving activities to resolve issues affecting supplier relationships and supply chain performance.
· Support and potentially lead supplier performance recovery and improvement initiatives.
· Support supplier selection and development efforts.
· Identify and pursue improvements in quality, cost, delivery, and lead time.
· Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, customers, and suppliers to ensure continuity of supply.
· Operate with urgency and proactively address operational issues to maintain supply continuity.
· Travel up to 15% to sites or supplier locations as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Engineering, Supply Chain, or Business.
· Up to 5 years of progressive experience in manufacturing or engineering, preferably aerospace.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to lead complex supply chain requirements.
· Proficient communication and organizational skills with the ability to understand complex regulations and procedures.
· Ability to manage multiple tasks, set priorities, and meet deadlines under pressure.
· Ability to relocate to the Western New York Area. Onsite role; flexible or hybrid schedule may be considered.
