Data Entry Clerk
Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Data Entry Clerk to accurately enter, maintain, and update company records and inventory-related information. The ideal candidate will have strong computer skills, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and excellent attention to detail. Knowledge of inventory processes and accounting principles is strongly recommended.
Key Responsibilities
- Enter and update data accurately in company databases, spreadsheets, and internal systems.
- Maintain inventory records, including quantities, transactions, adjustments, and related documentation.
- Review information for accuracy and correct discrepancies as needed.
- Create, update, and maintain Microsoft Excel spreadsheets and reports.
- Assist with inventory tracking, reconciliation, and recordkeeping.
- Support accounting-related data entry, including invoices, purchase orders, receipts, and other financial records.
- Verify information against source documents to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Organize and maintain electronic and physical records.
- Communicate discrepancies or missing information to the appropriate department.
- Perform general administrative and clerical duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Previous data entry, administrative, or clerical experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and general computer applications.
- Strong data entry and typing skills with a high level of accuracy.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to maintain confidential company information.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strongly Preferred
- Knowledge or experience with inventory management and inventory records.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and terminology.
- Experience entering or reviewing invoices, purchase orders, inventory transactions, or similar records.
- Experience working with accounting, ERP, warehouse, or inventory management systems.
