Wire Harness Technician

Job Description

This position focuses on building wire harnesses from blueprints. As a technician, you will receive a kit containing all necessary components to construct a specific harness. Using a full-size wire harness print attached to an angled build board, you will assemble the harness according to the print, ensuring correct placement of wires and components.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret wire harness prints and blueprints.
• Build wire harnesses according to print specifications.
• Lay out and route wires correctly on the build board.
• Install and connect terminals, connectors, and other harness components.
• Verify proper placement and orientation of components.
• Perform detailed electrical and assembly work with accuracy.
• Assist with wire-prep processes such as cutting, labeling, stripping, and crimping wires.
• Work primarily standing at the harness build boards.

Essential Skills

• Ability to read and interpret prints or blueprints.
• Previous experience building or assembling from a print.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Harness experience is strongly preferred.
• Backgrounds in wire harness assembly, electrical assembly, or other detail-oriented assembly environments are beneficial.

Work Environment

Work involves standing at harness build boards in a detail-oriented, print-driven environment. Collaboration with a small team is encouraged, fostering a supportive atmosphere.

This is a Contract position based out of East Peoria, IL.

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $28.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in East Peoria,IL.
