Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) - Clinic

Position Overview

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) The CMA will provide clinical support under the direct supervision of the Office Nurse or Physician.

The ideal candidate should be professional, caring, organized, and able to remain calm in stressful situations. The candidate must maintain patient confidentiality, demonstrate flexibility, and work effectively as part of a healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws, injections, child immunizations, laboratory tests, and other clinical procedures within the scope of MA certification.
• Assist physicians with patient examinations, including taking blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration.
• Prepare, clean, and stock examination rooms with necessary supplies.

Required Qualifications

• Completion of at least 2 years of formal Medical Assistant curriculum or specialized Medical Assistant training – Required.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant Medical Assistant experience in a medical setting – Required.
• Current Medical Assistant certification – Required and must be maintained.
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) – Required..
