Director of Global Learning & Development

\n

\n

Medical Device | Growth-Stage MedTech | Remote

\n

\n

We’re partnering with an innovative, rapidly growing medical device company that is expanding its commercial and clinical organization both in the U.S. and internationally. As the company continues to scale, we’re looking for a Director of Global Learning & Development to build the learning infrastructure that will support that growth.

\n

\n

This is not a traditional L&D maintenance role. You’ll have the opportunity to build programs, processes and infrastructure from the ground up—and directly influence how sales reps, clinical specialists, marketing teams and international distributor partners learn, sell and support the company’s technology.

\n

\n

What You’ll Own

\n
    \n
  • Build and lead global onboarding and certification programs for sales, clinical and marketing teams
  • \n
  • Develop product, procedure, technique and commercial training programs
  • \n
  • Create a scalable training and certification model for international distributors
  • \n
  • Develop case-based selling, objection handling and procedure-focused training in partnership with Marketing and Clinical/Medical Affairs
  • \n
  • Establish ongoing certification and re-certification programs tied to product launches, labeling changes and technique updates
  • \n
  • Own the company’s Learning Management System (LMS), including content architecture, reporting and completion tracking
  • \n
  • Apply adult learning and instructional design principles across instructor-led, virtual and self-paced programs
  • \n
  • Build a scalable library of training assets including videos, simulations, assessments and job aids
  • \n
  • Develop leadership and manager-effectiveness programs as the organization grows
  • \n
  • Partner with HR and functional leaders on career development, succession planning and skills-gap analysis
  • \n
  • Support training and change-management initiatives associated with new systems, processes and organizational growth
  • \n
  • Coordinate training across U.S. and international markets, adapting programs for language, regulatory and cultural requirements
  • \n
  • Partner with Regulatory and Quality to ensure training content aligns with current labeling and international requirements
  • \n
  • Own training readiness as part of new product launch planning
  • \n
  • Manage external training vendors, faculty and physician education relationships
  • \n
  • Own the L&D budget and determine when to build internally versus leverage outside resources
  • \n
\n

\n

What We’re Looking For

\n
    \n
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • \n
  • 8+ years of Learning & Development experience
  • \n
  • 3–5+ years within medical device, pharmaceutical or another regulated commercial environment
  • \n
  • Proven success building sales and/or clinical training programs from the ground up
  • \n
  • Experience training both direct employees and distributor/third-party sales channels
  • \n
  • Hands-on experience with LMS administration, instructional design and adult learning principles
  • \n
  • Comfortable operating in a clinical/procedural environment
  • \n
  • Strong facilitator who can personally deliver training—not simply manage the function
  • \n
  • Willingness to travel approximately 30–40%, including internationally
  • \n
\n

\n

Even Better If You Have

\n
    \n
  • Experience commercializing a novel or category-creating medical technology
  • \n
  • Experience in a startup or high-growth medical device company
  • \n
  • Experience driving physician or field behavior change
  • \n
  • Experience building international training programs through distributors
  • \n
  • Experience working within European markets / EU MDR / CE Mark requirements
  • \n
  • Fluency in an additional language
  • \n
\n

\n

Why This Opportunity?

\n

You won’t be inheriting a finished training organization—you’ll be building it.

\n

This is an opportunity for a hands-on L&D leader to create the strategy, curriculum, certification infrastructure and learning culture that will support a growing global commercial organization.

\n

If you’ve been looking for a role where your work can have a visible impact on a company's growth—and where you can build something rather than simply maintain it—this could be a great fit.

\n

Location: Remote

\n

Travel: Approximately 30–40%
