Position Overview

\n

We are seeking an experienced Level 2 Multi-Tech / Electrical & Controls (EC) and Measurement Technician to support natural gas pipeline operations in the Sheridan, Texas area.

\n

This hands-on role involves maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical, instrumentation, controls, and measurement equipment across pipeline facilities, including compressor stations, measurement stations, and delivery assets.

\n

The ideal candidate will have a strong electrical and instrumentation background, experience in the oil and gas or pipeline industry, and the ability to work across multiple technical disciplines.

\n

Key Responsibilities

\n

\n
• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical, instrumentation, controls, and measurement equipment at pipeline facilities.
\n
• Support compressor stations, measurement stations, delivery stations, and other pipeline assets.
\n
• Maintain and troubleshoot transmitters, flow control valves, automated valves, and other instrumentation and control devices.
\n
• Perform preventive and routine maintenance on facility equipment to support safe and reliable operations.
\n
• Respond to equipment issues and operational call-outs as required.
\n
• Support pipeline measurement activities and associated instrumentation systems.
\n
• Follow applicable safety procedures, operational standards, and regulatory requirements.
\n
• Coordinate with operations personnel and other technical teams to ensure efficient facility operations.
\n
• Travel occasionally to other operating locations, including El Campo and east Houston, as required.
\n

Required Qualifications

\n

\n
• 5+ years of relevant hands-on experience in electrical, instrumentation, controls, measurement, or a combination of these disciplines preferred.
\n
• Experience in pipeline operations, natural gas, oil and gas, or a related energy industry strongly preferred.
\n
• Practical experience troubleshooting and maintaining field equipment.
\n
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
\n
• Valid standard driver's license and ability to travel occasionally within the operating area.
\n
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and operational reliability.
\n

Preferred Qualifications

\n

\n
• Experience with Waukesha engine packages and Ariel compressors.
\n
• Experience with natural gas compressor stations and pipeline measurement systems.
\n
• Familiarity with Operator Qualifications (OQs).
\n
• Experience with electrical and instrumentation systems, transmitters, control valves, and automated valves.
\n

Education and Certifications

\n

A degree or specific technical certification is not required for candidates with strong relevant hands-on experience.

\n

Existing Operator Qualifications (OQs) are a plus. The selected candidate will complete the company's required OQ qualification or requalification process.

\n

A CDL is not required. A standard driver's license is sufficient.

\n

\n

Location and Travel Requirements

\n

\n
• Candidates must currently reside within approximately 30 miles of Sheridan, TX.
\n
• Relocation candidates are not being considered at this time.
\n
• The position is primarily onsite.
\n
• Occasional travel may be required to other operating assets, including El Campo and east Houston. Travel may range from a day or two to potentially a week.
\n
• A company-provided vehicle will be available while working on the asset.
\n
• No standard mileage or per-diem allowance is approved. Reasonable hotel and meal expenses for overnight travel may be reimbursed through the company's normal expense process, subject to receipts and applicable policies.
