Operations Manager
\nLocation: Denver, CO / Indianapolis, IN | Onsite
\nSchedule: Mon–Fri, 6:00 AM until work is complete; mandatory OT
\nDuration: 5 months with Contract-to-Hire
\nPay: Up to $32.82/hr
\nPosition Summary
\nLead transportation, logistics, warehouse, and operational programs, ensuring timely shipment execution, cold-chain integrity, regulatory compliance, service quality, and team performance.
\nKey Responsibilities
\n- \n
- Oversee daily transportation, logistics, warehouse, and distribution operations. \n
- Manage domestic/international shipments, including Air Waybills, Bills of Lading, export documentation, bookings, and shipment tracking. \n
- Ensure cold-chain management, product integrity, chain of custody, and regulatory compliance. \n
- Monitor on-hold shipments, flight schedules, delivery approvals, and operational issues. \n
- Lead, coach, train, and develop supervisors and associates; support hiring and performance management. \n
- Manage client/stakeholder relationships and ensure service and contractual requirements are met. \n
- Develop SOPs, workflows, training programs, KPIs, and continuous improvement initiatives. \n
- Analyze operational data, identify trends/risks, and drive corrective actions and process improvements. \n
- Support budgeting, billing, cost management, and operational planning. \n
Required Qualifications
\n- \n
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, Business, Engineering, Life Sciences, or related field; equivalent experience considered. \n
- 3+ years of logistics, transportation, supply chain, distribution, warehouse, or related experience. \n
- 3+ years of supervisory/management experience preferred. \n
- Strong knowledge of transportation operations, logistics processes, and supply chain principles. \n
- Experience with tracking systems, operational reporting, and data analysis. \n
- Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. \n
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office. \n
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. \n
Preferred
\n- \n
- Cold-chain / temperature-controlled logistics experience. \n
- Healthcare, pharmaceutical, clinical, or life sciences experience. \n
- Air import/export and domestic/international shipping experience. \n
- Knowledge of Air Waybills, Bills of Lading, export documentation, and carrier bookings. \n
- CSCP, CLTD, CPIM, or similar certification. \n
