A day in the life

At our Sacramento, CA facility, you arrive to a clean, organized work cell, review the day’s build plan and blueprints, and begin bringing mechanical systems to life. You methodically assemble components to spec, verify tolerances, and record what you’ve completed. When something doesn’t align, you troubleshoot, confer with teammates, and fine-tune the process so the next build is even better. Throughout the day, you switch confidently between hand and power tools, keep your station orderly, and contribute ideas that elevate quality and throughput.

What you’ll own
  • Build mechanical sub-assemblies and systems precisely to drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
  • Perform in-process inspections and final quality checks to ensure products meet performance standards.
  • Operate and care for hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Partner with peers and leads to streamline assembly methods and improve repeatability.
  • Maintain a tidy, compliant, and well-labeled workspace.
  • Document steps taken, record measurements, and escalate issues or nonconformances to supervisors.
  • Participate in training and cross-training to expand skills and support team flexibility.
What you’ll bring
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational training preferred.
  • Hands-on experience as a mechanical assembler or in a closely related build/repair role.
  • Solid grasp of mechanical systems, fits, fasteners, and standard assembly techniques.
  • Comfort reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Proficiency with a range of hand and power tools.
  • Keen attention to detail, strong problem-solving instincts, and a continuous-improvement mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team setting.
  • Clear communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude.
