Lead / Principal Manufacturing Engineer - design transfer - R&D to full scale manufacturing

InnoTECH Staffing is looking to hire a Principal Manufacturing Engineer - design transfer - R&D to full scale manufacturing.

This is an opportunity for a Principal Engineer to have significant ownership and influence — leading design transfer, shaping manufacturing strategy, developing innovative processes for complex medical devices, and building the capabilities that take products from R&D all the way into production.

This as a high-impact lead manufacturing engineering leadership role.

• Lead the transition from R&D to manufacturing — own design transfer and ensure new, complex products move into production smoothly, efficiently, and at the highest quality levels.
• Shape how products are built — develop innovative manufacturing processes, tooling, fixtures, equipment and methods for sophisticated electro-mechanical/opto-mechanical medical devices.
• Have a direct impact on product quality and cost — drive improvements in manufacturability, reliability, productivity and cost while working toward a zero-defect manufacturing environment.
• Own the full manufacturing engineering lifecycle — from prototypes and pilot builds through process validation (IQ/OQ/PQ), DOE, production launch and continuous improvement.
• Be a key technical leader across the organization — partner closely with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing and Supply Chain, while influencing product design and manufacturing strategy.
• Lead a small team of Manufacturing Engineers and provide technical direction on complex projects, while also working with vendors, technicians and tool-room personnel.
• Work in a regulated medical-device environment where your engineering decisions directly impact products used in the real world, including GMP/FDA-compliant manufacturing.

This requires being onsite 5 days a week in Littleton, MA

Salary is up to $175K base
