Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Technologist with 2+ years experience in a STEMI/PCI facility to support a high-volume interventional cardiac cath lab.
Details
- Cath Lab with 7 procedure rooms and average daily census of 25-30 patients
- Adult and geriatric patient population
- Outpatient and inpatient work settings
- Procedures include diagnostic and left/right heart catheterizations, PCI, stent placement, angioplasty, carotid stenting, IABP and Impella placement, paracentesis, and thoracentesis
- EP experience candidates may float to EP lab as needed when Cath Lab/IR case volume is low
- Uses Epic EMR
- 4x10 hour day shifts, 6:45 AM to 5:15 PM
- Call required, including one weekday call per week, every 5th weekend, and one night per week
- During a 13-week contract, call includes two weekends (Friday 6 PM to Monday 7 AM) plus one holiday call if the assignment spans a major holiday period
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years experience in a STEMI/PCI facility
- Current BLS, ACLS, and ARRT (R) certifications required
- ARRT must be in hand at time of submission
- IABP and Impella insertion training required
- Experience with IV starts, EKGs, stents, angioplasty, angiograms, paracentesis, and thoracentesis
- Experience with vascular studies including upper and lower extremity angiography
- Epic charting experience required
- STEMI-ready status required
- License required if applicable (ODH license required; pending OH license acceptable, but MI license must be in hand)
Additional Information
- Perform EKG lead placement and assist with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures
- Scrubs provided
- Unit considers travelers based on experience
- First-time travelers may be considered based on experience
- Local candidates within 50 miles are not accepted
