DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position supports the operation and upkeep of facilities across the Laurel Hill complex by performing repairs, construction tasks, and routine maintenance to protect park resources. As a Park Maintenance Worker, you will perform the following duties:
- Facility Maintenance: Assist in repair and upkeep of tools, equipment, machinery, buildings, and bridges
- Sign Installation: Help construct, paint, and install bulletin boards and signs for public information
- Structural Repair: Replace floors, walls, siding, and sills on park buildings
- Masonry Support: Assist with masonry work on sidewalks, chimneys, and stone structures
- Grounds Care: Mow grass by operating various tractors and mowers
- Trail Work: Perform brushing, blazing, clearing, and improvements to trail tread and drainage

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- This is a seasonal, full-time position with no healthcare benefits. There is not an option to buy into health care benefits. The season runs from approximately March 2026 until November 2026 at which time the employee will be placed on leave without pay. The employee will automatically be returned to employment approximately March 2027.
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Work shifts and days vary, will work 5 days and 37.5 hours per week to include weekends and holidays if needed

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year of experience in laboring work including the use of tools and equipment used in maintenance or construction; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Condition of Employment:
- This position requires possession of a valid PA non-commercial Class C driver's license or equivalent.
