Job Description

Job Description
Step Into a Day on the Floor

You clock in, scan the production boards, and walk the precision metal lines where dental instruments take shape. A quick check of preventive maintenance tasks is followed by a callout: a piece of automated equipment is down. You grab the schematics, isolate the fault, lockout/tagout, swap a component, and bring the line back up. Before shift change, you document the fix in the CMMS and brief the next crew so production stays on pace.

About the Role

We’re hiring an experienced industrial maintenance professional to keep production machinery running in a precision metal manufacturing environment serving the dental instrument industry. This is a contract-to-hire role with opportunities on both 1st and 2nd shift.

Shift Opportunities
  • 1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m.
  • 2nd Shift: Monday–Friday, 2:00 p.m.–10:30 p.m.
What You’ll Handle
  • Diagnose and correct mechanical and electrical faults on production equipment.
  • Repair, adjust, and replace machine components to restore performance.
  • Inspect equipment to catch wear, malfunctions, and emerging issues that could cause downtime.
  • Execute and support preventive maintenance across production machinery and facility systems.
  • Respond rapidly to unplanned equipment problems to keep output on schedule.
  • Use electrical and mechanical drawings, manuals, and schematics to troubleshoot effectively.
  • Service pneumatic and hydraulic systems as needed.
  • Log work in the CMMS and maintain accurate records of maintenance activity.
  • Operate with minimal supervision and make sound, timely decisions.
  • Communicate completed work and open items clearly to peers and supervision during handoffs.
  • Follow safety standards, including LOTO, and keep the work area organized and clean.
What You’ll Bring
  • Proven mechanical and electrical troubleshooting capability.
  • Hands-on skill diagnosing issues and performing corrective repairs.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, machine drawings, and manuals.
  • Self-directed approach with urgency toward production needs.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred
  • Background in manufacturing or industrial maintenance.
  • Working knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics.
  • Experience with a CMMS platform.
  • Technical maintenance training or certification.
Compensation & Benefits
  • $28.00–$34.00 per hour
  • Full-time, Monday–Friday schedule
  • Contract-to-hire opportunity
  • Openings on 1st and 2nd shift
  • Client benefits may be available upon eligible client hire
