Are you the go-to problem solver for residential comfort systems?

If you thrive on diagnosing tricky faults, getting equipment back online, and communicating clearly with homeowners and dispatch, this role is for you. You’ll perform residential HVAC service and maintenance with precision, partnering closely with the HVAC Service Supervisor and Operations Management to ensure every system is serviced correctly the first time.

Your Impact
  • Deliver maintenance and repair on heating and cooling equipment in residential settings.
  • Inspect ductwork and keep company equipment and materials in safe, serviceable condition.
  • Identify components, wire, commission, and start up full residential HVAC systems.
  • Diagnose issues, recommend solutions, and complete repairs to restore performance.
  • Execute start-ups, test system operation, and record results.
  • Conduct thorough inspections; communicate unresolved concerns to both dispatch and the customer.
  • Explain services performed and repairs made to dispatch and to the homeowner.
  • Coordinate daily workload and schedule with the office.
  • Order and stage parts in advance to ensure job readiness.
  • Transport tools/parts to sites and maintain accurate inventory accountability.
  • Submit neat, timely paperwork or tablet-based documentation.
  • Debrief each call with dispatch/customer and attach all required documentation.
  • Maintain a clean worksite and leave the area better than you found it.
  • Keep your company vehicle clean and organized at all times.
  • Uphold performance standards, ethics, and a courteous demeanor with every interaction.
  • Use protective floor savers when working inside customers’ homes.
  • Follow all safety procedures and policies.

Baseline Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • At least 1 year of HVAC service experience.
  • EPA Certification.
  • Soldering/brazing proficiency.
  • Strong communication (verbal and written).
  • English fluency for verbal and written communication.
  • Basic computer skills; able to operate a computer, laptop, or tablet.
  • Comfort with internet navigation and email platforms (e.g., Microsoft Outlook).
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Flexibility to work overtime with short notice and occasional weekends.
Preferred
  • HVAC trade school certification.
  • 1–2 years of construction, HVAC, or closely related experience.

Where and How You’ll Work
  • Most work performed in occupied homes and/or construction sites; limited office time.
  • Drive between job locations daily.
  • Frequent exposure to construction environments: equipment, elevated work areas, confined spaces, noise, dust, hazardous materials, and odors.
  • Indoor/outdoor work in all weather conditions (heat, rain, cold, wind) with PPE.
Physical Demands
  • Operate a motorized passenger vehicle or forklift.
  • Lift and move up to 50 lbs frequently.
  • Climb, bend, crawl, kneel, and crouch on a regular basis.
  • Work at heights; ascend ladders/stairs; occasional platform/scaffold work with fall protection.
  • Wear required PPE including hard hat, safety glasses, ear plugs, masks/respirators, reflective vests, gloves, and safety-toe, construction-grade boots.
  • Stand, walk, or sit for extended durations.
  • Hear and distinguish speech/sounds to safely operate phones/equipment.
  • Maintain clear near/far/peripheral vision with normal depth perception (with or without correction).
  • Communicate verbally to convey information effectively.
  • Enter data via keyboard or 10-key keypad on handheld or computer.
  • Reach overhead; signal, grasp, hold, lift, turn, push, and pull tools and materials.
