Job Description
Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician

We are seeking an experienced Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician to join our team and keep our production operations running safely and efficiently. This is a hands-on maintenance role focused heavily on reactive troubleshooting and equipment repair, with a strong emphasis on electrical systems and mechanical maintenance.

What You’ll Do
  • Perform multi-craft maintenance across extrusion and production lines.

  • Troubleshoot and repair 24VDC–480VAC electrical systems, including motors, drives, heaters, sensors, and related controls.

  • Respond quickly to production and operator line calls, diagnosing equipment failures and restoring equipment to service.

  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems, including:

    • Pneumatics

    • Hydraulics

    • Bearings

    • Motors and gearboxes

    • General production equipment

  • Read, interpret, and work from electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and machine drawings.

  • Perform electrical and mechanical troubleshooting to identify root causes of equipment issues.

  • Complete repairs safely and efficiently to minimize production downtime.

  • Perform preventative maintenance (PM) and other maintenance tasks as needed.

  • Work closely with production and operations teams to keep equipment and extrusion lines running.

  • Follow all safety procedures, including proper lockout/tagout practices.

This is a heavy reactive maintenance environment. Your typical day will involve responding to equipment breakdowns and production calls, troubleshooting electrical and mechanical problems, making repairs, and getting extrusion lines back up and running as quickly and safely as possible.

You can expect to spend significant time troubleshooting:

  • Electrical systems and controls

  • Motors and variable-frequency drives

  • Heaters and temperature-related equipment

  • Sensors and field devices

  • Pneumatic and hydraulic systems

  • Mechanical components and production equipment

Preventative maintenance and scheduled work will also be performed as needed, but the primary focus of this position is troubleshooting, repair, and minimizing equipment downtime.
