Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Technologist with 3+ years of experience in cardiac cath lab and interventional radiology procedures for a cardiac intervention room with structural heart capability.

Details

  • Cardiac intervention interventional radiology setting with structural heart capability
  • 3 procedure rooms with an average daily census of 15
  • Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 5x8 hours from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM (or 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM)
  • Call requirement of 3 call shifts within a 2 week period, including weekend call rotation every 6 weeks
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Uses fluoroscopy and PACS equipment

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in cath lab/interventional radiology required
  • California CLS state license required and must be in hand at time of consideration (license required if applicable)
  • CA CRRT state license required
  • ACLS, ARRT-R, BLS, and Fluoroscopy Permit required
  • CCI RCIS certification preferred
  • Trauma Level II experience preferred
  • Epic charting system experience required
  • Skilled in venous access, central line care and maintenance, and procedural responsibilities including room circulating and sterile field maintenance
  • Experience with vascular closure systems preferred
  • Experience with cardiac cath lab procedures including diagnostic and left/right heart catheterizations, PCI, PTCA, hemodynamic monitoring, IABP and Impella insertion
  • TAVR and Watchman procedure experience preferred
  • Carotid stenting and thrombolysis/thrombectomy experience preferred
  • Scrub procedure experience preferred
  • Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required

Additional Information

  • Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures, structural heart interventions, and interventional radiology procedures including vascular, genitourinary, and abdominal/pelvic studies
  • Responsibilities include equipment setup, prepping access sites, accurate hemodynamic monitoring, and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias
  • Scrubs are provided
  • Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities near the contracted location
  • Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
  • RTO requests limited to no more than 7 days and must be submitted upfront
  • First-time travelers will be considered
  • Local candidates accepted, with a 50-mile radius rule applying to local candidate eligibility
  • Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
