Job Summary
X-ray Technologist in the area of XRAY TECH. This role involves independently performing diagnostic radiography procedures utilizing established protocols and complex imaging equipment, ensuring high-quality imaging for diagnostic purposes. The position offers a day shift schedule with a consistent Monday through Friday pattern, every other weekend, with no call responsibilities.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology, verification from ARRT or scheduled graduation date, 2 years of experience, PA or NY/MD state license (where applicable), current ARRT certification, BLS.
• Schedule: Dayshift, 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week.
• Responsibilities:
  • Performs diagnostic radiography procedures independently, adjusting protocols as needed.
  • Operates complex imaging equipment for data acquisition, analysis, and documentation.
  • Administers PO and rectal contrast per physician orders and departmental policy.
  • Interacts professionally with patients and team members, demonstrating care, dignity, and respect.
  • Communicates instructions clearly, explains procedures, and assists in alleviating patient concerns.
  • Properly identifies patients with two identifiers and reviews history and orders to optimize results.
  • Ensures exams are properly coded, archived, and charges are accurately entered.
  • Performs other duties as assigned, complying with system-wide competencies and behaviors.
• Additional Information: This role requires proficiency in using ionizing radiation techniques for diagnostic imaging, with responsibilities including image acquisition, analysis, and proper documentation.
