Registered Nurse
Position Overview
We are seeking a qualified Registered Nurse (RN) to provide professional nursing care, assess patient needs, administer medications and treatments, respond to medical emergencies, and maintain accurate clinical documentation. The RN will work as part of a healthcare team while ensuring patients receive safe, compassionate, and appropriate care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide professional nursing care to patients in a healthcare setting.
- Assess, observe, document, and monitor patients' symptoms, conditions, reactions, and progress.
- Conduct nursing rounds and obtain and record vital signs.
- Administer prescribed medications, treatments, and immunizations according to established procedures.
- Develop, review, and update patient care plans as appropriate.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and provide first aid or other immediate medical attention.
- Coordinate emergency medical services or hospital transportation when necessary.
- Communicate with physicians and other healthcare professionals regarding patient care.
- Provide patient education and counseling regarding treatment plans and medical referrals.
- Perform specialized nursing procedures as required, which may include IV therapy, wound care, oxygen therapy, dialysis, blood transfusions, tube feeding, catheterization, suctioning, CPR, and phlebotomy.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records, medication documentation, treatment records, and incident reports.
- Maintain accurate inventory of medications, controlled substances, medical equipment, and supplies.
- Assist with coordinating medical appointments, examinations, prescriptions, and referrals.
- Participate in staff education, training, orientation, and professional development.
- Provide direction and support to other healthcare staff when assigned.
- Maintain compliance with applicable nursing regulations, policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Perform other related nursing duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Ohio.
- Knowledge of professional nursing procedures and applicable state and federal regulations.
- Ability to accurately document patient information and prepare clear, concise reports.
- Strong communication, organization, and clinical assessment skills.
- Ability to operate common medical equipment, including blood pressure equipment, stethoscopes, EKG equipment, and other clinical devices.
- Ability to work effectively with patients, healthcare professionals, and support staff.
- Ability to respond appropriately in emergency and high-pressure situations.
