We're looking for a Server Motherboard Repair Technician – L1 to join our team. This is a hands-on opportunity to work with server motherboards, electronic components, soldering, diagnostics, and hardware troubleshooting.


If you have experience repairing computers, electronics, circuit boards, or other hardware—or have strong hands-on technical skills and want to grow your career—this could be a great opportunity to develop specialized server repair experience.


What You'll Do


As an L1 Server Motherboard Repair Technician, you will:

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot server motherboard (MB) issues
  • Identify and isolate hardware/component-level problems
  • Inspect motherboards to determine if they are repairable
  • Perform motherboard repairs and component replacement
  • Perform component-level soldering as needed
  • Inspect solder joints for:
  • Cold solder joints
  • Solder bridges
  • Excessive solder or flux
  • Shifted pads or pins
  • Incorrect polarity
  • Shorted solder pads
  • Clean excess flux and solder residue using appropriate cleaning methods
  • Perform quick functional checks before sending repaired boards to the testing team
  • Follow detailed repair instructions, schematics, and operating procedures
  • Use tools such as multimeters and oscilloscopes for troubleshooting
  • Organize repair tools, components, and work areas
  • Separate and organize good and non-conforming parts
  • Maintain accurate repair and KPI records
  • Complete daily ESD checks and follow ESD safety procedures
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Meet established quality, productivity, and KPI goals
  • Assist with inspection, soldering, testing, and data entry based on project needs


What We're Looking For


Required:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least 1 year of computer repair, electronics repair, or related hands-on experience preferred
  • Basic Microsoft Excel skills
  • Ability to read and follow written technical instructions
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Strong commitment to quality and productivity


Technical Skills:

  • Ability to use a multimeter
  • Ability to read and understand basic schematics
  • Familiarity with an oscilloscope preferred
  • Soldering/component-level repair experience preferred
  • Computer hardware troubleshooting experience preferred
  • Experience working with circuit boards or electronic components is a plus
