Forklift Operator/Material Handler Night Shift

Pay: $25.50

Location: Florence, KY

Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts (3 days one week, 4 days the next)

Schedule: 7:00pm–7:00am

Position Overview: In this role, you will be responsible for the efficient unloading, movement, and loading of goods. You will operate both cherry pickers and turret trucks to ensure production lines are supplied and shipments are handled with precision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Load Management: Safely unload received goods from trailers and stage them on the factory floor or load them directly into machinery.
• Equipment Operation: Safely operate forklifts to transport materials, pallets, skids, and boxes.
• Safety Compliance: Perform routine maintenance checks on vehicles and inspect cables/grappling devices for wear. Ensure load weights remain within safe lifting capacities.
• Inventory Accuracy: Weigh materials, verify against manifests, and record data on tags or labels to ensure 100% inventory accuracy.
• Safety & Cleanliness: Direct truck drivers safely into loading bays and maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.

Qualifications:

• Certification: Valid Forklift certification is required.
• Experience: 2–3 years of previous industrial/warehouse experience in a material handling capacity.
• Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs consistently. Ability to stand, walk, sit, and bend for the duration of a 12-hour shift.
• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Compliance: Must be willing to wear required PPE, including composite or carbon fiber-toed boots.
