Job Summary
The CT Technologist (Computed Tomography) position is based in a healthcare facility. This role involves performing advanced imaging procedures to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment, ensuring accuracy, safety, and quality in all radiologic practices.
Job Details
- Shifts: Rotating schedule, including 7-3:30 PM, 7 AM-11:30 PM (with overnight call), and 8 AM-4:30 PM. Minimum hours per week: 40.
- Education: Associate's degree in radiologic technology.
- Certifications & Licensure: NYS Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist License with Injection Registered, ARRT(R), BLS Certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross).
- Experience: 2 years of relevant experience.
- The position requires conducting X-Ray and CT procedures with a 50/50 split, with consideration given to candidates lacking CT Registry as long as they possess at least 1 year of experience.
- Responsibilities include performing CT procedures as requested by referring physicians, maintaining radiation safety practices, and participating in Radiology Management System functions.
- The candidate will provide patient education, communicate effectively with medical staff, and adhere to clinical and safety standards.
- Skills required include attention to detail, collaboration, continuous learning, initiative, judgment, critical thinking, problem solving, quality focus, reliability, and technical expertise.
