Compensation: $30 to $50 per hour - Dependent Upon Experience

Elite Marine Sales and Service is seeking an experienced, motivated Marine Technician to join the team. This is a great opportunity to join an established marine service center under new management seeking a talented, team player that will drive efficacy in the mechanical services operation.

Role Responsibilities

At Elite Marine we work on a variety of marine engines, drives and outboards. Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to the following:

·         Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy

·         Diagnose, maintain and repair marine mechanical systems including engine, transmission/drive, electrical, steering, acceleration, hydraulics, etc

·         Outboard mechanical services including install, rigging and warranty claim service

·         Commute to marina or dock for mobile service when necessary

·         Communication with service advisor and parts specialist

·         Perform quality inspection of mechanical repairs prior to notifying team of completion and returning to customer

·         Water test vessels when required

·         Ensure that required documentation is complete and accurate

·         Report shop needs and ensure equipment is functional and complete

·         Maintain up-to-date working knowledge for Elite dealer OEMs including Honda, Suzuki, Mercury and Mercruiser

·         Ensure workspace is kept clean and organized and tools are maintained and stored properly

Qualifications

Successful candidates for the position will possess:

·         3+ years of experience as a marine technician

·         Diagnostic and troubleshooting skills

·         Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment

·         Commitment to quality

·         Desire to work as a team player

·         Excellent communication skills

·         Ability to focus efforts on prioritized job tasks

·         Valid driver’s license
