Our Assembly Technicians are the hands behind that excellence, responsible for assembling, wiring, testing, and validating the systems that become the backbone of our customers' operations.

This position requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork. The ideal candidate will work closely with technicians, engineers, and quality personnel to ensure every system leaving our facility meets the high standards associated with the AUTEC brand.

 

Responsibilities

Assemble mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components according to blueprints, work orders, schematics, and assembly instructions.

• Use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments to accurately build car wash systems and sub-assemblies.

• Perform basic wiring, plumbing, and component installation as part of equipment assembly.

• Verify proper fit, function, alignment, and operation of assembled components prior to final inspection.

• Conduct functional testing and operational checks to confirm system performance and identify adjustments or rework requirements.

• Communicate material shortages, engineering concerns, design issues, and process improvement opportunities to Supervisors and Engineering personnel.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with AUTEC’s 5S and safety standards.

• Support cross-training initiatives and assist in other production areas as needed to meet company objectives.

• Adhere to all company policies, quality standards, manufacturing procedures, and safety requirements.

• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives that enhance quality, efficiency, safety, and productivity.

• Assist with troubleshooting assembly issues and support corrective actions when necessary.

 

Qualifications

Education & Experience: High School Diploma or GED required. Technical training in mechanical, electrical, or industrial assembly is preferred.

• Assembly Experience: One to three years of experience in equipment assembly, manufacturing, industrial production, or mechanical maintenance environments preferred.

• Technical Skills: Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.

• Blueprint Reading: Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, assembly instructions, work orders, and wiring diagrams.

• Industry Knowledge: Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

• Certifications: Forklift certification preferred or willingness to obtain certification.

• Other Skills: Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Physical Demands

  • Regularly required to use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.
  • Frequently required to stand, sit, reach with arms, talk, and hear.
  • Occasionally required to walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 lbs, frequently up to 25 lbs, and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
  • Specific vision abilities include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
