QC Technician

SUMMARY

Spectrum Staffing Services is seeking a QC Technician for a direct-hire opportunity in the Woodbridge area of New Jersey. This role performs quality testing of raw materials and formulas, supports laboratory operations and food safety activities, and assists with product investigations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform standard QC testing and sample incoming raw materials using established procedures, including GC and HPLC analysis.
• Support analytical method development and provide technical support to Operations, R&D, suppliers and customers.
• Perform laboratory equipment checks and calibrations while following GLP, GMP and safety standards.
• Maintain laboratory supplies, raw materials, product retains, testing procedures, forms and lot records.
• Investigate out-of-specification materials, deviations, rejections and internal or customer/vendor nonconformances.
• Document material rejections and deviations to support root cause investigations and corrective actions.
• Create, review and revise QC SOPs; support timely product approval, rework and rejection dispositions.
• Assist with food safety responsibilities and interpret and report microbiological test results as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

• BS in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry or a related science field.
• 1–3 years of experience in a quality control laboratory or similar role.
• Hands-on experience with both GC and HPLC, plus method development experience.
• Food safety experience and a clear understanding of laboratory equipment.
• Strong problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills; proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
