Job Description

Saginaw County Community Mental Health Authority (SCCMHA) is seeking a qualified Network Practice and Trauma-Informed Care Specialist to lead clinical evidence-based practices, ZERO Suicide initiatives, and trauma-informed care integration across our provider network. Guided by our core mission that every individual has a belief in potential, a right to dream, and an opportunity to achieve, this role drives clinical quality, evidence-based practice fidelity, program development, and state-level compliance for public behavioral health services. In this position, you will serve as a subject matter expert, collaborate on Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) initiatives, lead statewide committee partnerships with MDHHS, and promote culturally competent, recovery-based, person-centered care for individuals across Saginaw County.

Responsibilities

  • Organize and coordinate agency-wide evidence-based practice models, trauma-informed care frameworks, and ZERO Suicide planning across adult, child, family, and co-occurring disorder population areas.
  • Collaborate with clinical directors and supervisors to determine, execute, and evaluate evidence-based practices, best practices, and CCBHC program requirements.
  • Lead internal fidelity reviews, collate external fidelity audit data, perform fidelity assessments, and provide clinical coaching to staff to prevent model drift.
  • Chair the Trauma Informed Care Workgroup and lead the Evidence-Based Practice Leadership Team and ZERO Suicide implementation efforts.
  • Represent the organization at local, regional, and statewide MDHHS meetings, including the Practice Improvement Steering Committee, Peers Workgroup, and CCBHC clinical practice groups.
  • Monitor practice effectiveness, review clinical charts, assess consumer outcome data, and prepare routine or ad-hoc quality reports for leadership.
  • Partner with credentialing and auditing teams to ensure compliance with clinical standards across network providers and Designated Collaborating Organizations.
  • Provide clinical consultation and oversight for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Hoarding Disorder and level-of-care tools including LOCUS administration.
  • Develop and deliver clinical training programs, assessment tool workshops, and trauma-informed care education for staff and community partners.
  • Evaluate peer specialist integration across clinical teams and facilitate strategies to maximize peer support effectiveness.
  • Perform general departmental administrative tasks and drive to off-site locations for meetings, audits, or trainings as needed.

Qualifications

  • Master degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or a related mental health field from an accredited university.
  • Five years of professional experience in mental health, public behavioral health, or community mental health organizations.
  • Active Michigan clinical licensure as an LMSW, LLMSW, LPC, LLPC, LMFT, LLMFT, LP, or LLP.
  • Valid Michigan driver license with a good driving record.
  • Demonstrated expertise in evidence-based practices, trauma-informed care models, ZERO Suicide frameworks, and CCBHC service standards.
  • Strong written communication, public speaking, group facilitation, editing, and community leadership skills.
  • Proficient in clinical outcome data analysis, chart audits, program evaluation, database management, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of person-centered planning, recovery-based care, and culturally competent service delivery.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 20 pounds, sit or stand for long periods, and work at a computer workstation.
\nCompany Description

Saginaw County Community Mental Health (SCCMHA) is a local, independent, governmental unit serving the greater Saginaw County area, a Community Mental Health Services Program and has been a mental health authority under contract with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services since October 1, 1997.

In 2021, it was named a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration. As a CCBHC, SCCMHA is a “one stop wellness center” and offers a full range of services that create access to care, stabilizes individuals in crisis and provides the necessary treatment for those with mental illnesses, intellectual/developmental disorders, children/youth with emotional disorders and substance use disorders regardless of their insurance coverage.

The network is comprised of organizations that provide professional services, but also housing and other support services and interventions in both office and sitebased locations as well as in the homes of consumers and their families.
