Job Summary
Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist Located in the healthcare setting, this role involves supporting cardiac, vascular, respiratory, and renal procedures. The position requires assisting with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations, monitoring patient safety, and collaborating with interventional cardiologists to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Full-time, weekdays 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with one variable weekday off per week. On-call duties include one weekend per month (5 p.m. Friday to 6:30 a.m. Monday) and four weeknights per month (5 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. next day). No additional weekend commitments outside of on-call.
  • Required Qualifications: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent; graduate of an accredited program in Allied Health Sciences (e.g., Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, Respiratory Therapy, or Cardiac or Vascular Sonography); registration as a Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES), or Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) with Cardiac Interventional (CI) or Vascular Interventional (VI); valid Basic Life Support (BLS) and advanced certifications such as Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
  • Experience: 0.0 years minimum, with the ability to scrub for all types of heart procedures, including heart caths, peripheral vascular, structural heart, and electrophysiology.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of Merge Hemodynamic documentation system; comfort working independently and within a multidisciplinary team; experience with all cath/EP procedures.
  • Additional Information: Candidates should demonstrate strong communication, ownership, understanding, motivation, sensitivity, excellence, teamwork, and respect. Physical ability to scrub in a sterile environment, wear lead aprons, lift patients, and push beds or stretchers with patients on them.
  • Certifications: ACLS and BLS required.
  • Supervision/Monitoring: Monitors diagnostic cardiac catheterization procedures, recognizes and responds to cardiac arrhythmias and abnormalities, and calculates hemodynamic parameters. Performs cardiac outputs, oxygen saturations, and activated clotting time measurements.
