As the lead security professional for assigned classified programs, you will own the program security posture from planning through execution and continuous improvement. You will independently interpret requirements, set practical security procedures, resolve complex issues, and advise program leaders and government customers on risk-based decisions. This role has broad visibility and accountability: you will coordinate across security disciplines, drive corrective actions to closure, and help teams execute customer missions while protecting classified information and meeting Vantor’s commitments.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Own the end-to-end security program for assigned classified programs, applying the NISPOM, ICDs, customer directives, contractual requirements, and Vantor policy to mission needs.
  • Interpret complex or changing security requirements, assess operational risk, and establish or improve procedures that resolve issues and enable compliant program execution.
  • Direct the protection and accountability of classified information and accountable material across its lifecycle, including access, handling, transmission, reproduction, storage, and destruction.
  • Lead security operations for assigned spaces and activities, including SCIF operations, visitor control, secure storage, classified meetings, and physical security coordination.
  • Plan and deliver security education and program-specific briefings; ensure personnel understand their responsibilities and required security practices.
  • Lead self-inspections, inventories, audits, and security assessments; document findings, assign actions, and drive corrective actions through verified closure.
  • Serve as program security subject matter expert for the program to ensure compliance with contractual and customer requirements.
  • Coordinate personnel security activities with the Personnel Security Manager, including access requests, briefings, indoctrinations, debriefings, and required records.
  • Own the accuracy and currency of program security documentation, including DD Forms 254, security plans, visit certifications, access rosters, and compliance records.
  • Lead security coordination for customer visits, inspections, and incidents; ensure issues are reported promptly, stakeholders are aligned, and resolution is tracked to completion.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • U.S. citizenship and an active Top Secret clearance with current SCI eligibility; ability to obtain and maintain the required CI polygraph and program access.
  • A bachelor’s degree with at least 8 years of related industrial, government, or program security experience; a master’s degree with at least 6 years of related experience; or equivalent experience.
  • Prior experience as a CPSO, CSSO, FSO, or equivalent security lead supporting NRO, DoD, or Intelligence Community programs.
  • In-depth knowledge of national security requirements, including ICDs, the NISPOM, Executive Orders, applicable CFRs, and customer-specific directives, with the ability to interpret and apply them to complex program situations.
  • Demonstrated experience owning or leading security functions for SCI programs, including program security, personnel security, classified material control, visitor management, inspections, and corrective actions.
  • Strong judgment and communication skills, including the ability to explain risk, influence decisions, and build effective relationships with senior internal and external stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience coordinating security activities across personnel, physical, information, and industrial security disciplines, including work with government customers and program leadership.
  • Experience independently resolving complex security issues, establishing procedures for new or changing assignments, and improving program security processes.
  • Demonstrated ownership of deliverables and outcomes, including managing competing priorities, driving corrective actions to closure, and coordinating the work of other personnel when needed.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and security information systems; experience preparing clear security documentation, assessments, and executive-level updates.
