Shift: 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM
Experience:
• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
• 2 years of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.
• Experience with Meditech is preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Nebraska license or compact license (required after submission).
• This role will require floating to multiple units
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <60 miles from facility will be processed as local.
• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.
• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.
• Anyone currently working at this facility cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:
References must be from 2 different places of employment within the past 3 years.
Special Requests: The call-off policy permits 3 occurrences per 13 weeks.
Unit Details: Patient population includes COPD with exacerbation, CHF, amputations, wound care, long-term antibiotics, and some postpartum and pediatric patients. The unit has a heavy emphasis on swing-bed care to keep patients local; the average stay is 12 days. Central telemetry monitoring is available, with two portable telemetry monitors. The charting system is Meditech Expanse. Alaris pumps are used.
Shift & Scheduling: Overtime starts after 40 hours. Orientation is 12 hours. Travelers are added to the schedule after BBGH staff have completed self-scheduling.
Floating Requirements: The nurse may float to the ED but functions only as a task nurse.
14 days maximum time off
2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required from within the last 3 years
Proof of identification required

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
