Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical Oncology experience.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Missouri license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >75 miles from facility to be submitted.

• Flu vaccination required for submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: Oncology/chemo experience is required. MS experience is required. Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias is required. The clinician must be skilled in chemotherapy administration, port access/management, administration of blood and blood products, central line blood draws, central line/implanted line care, PICC line care, starting and maintaining IVs, antibiotic and antiemetic therapy, Foley catheter insertion/management, isolation precautions, telemetry interpretation, and telemetry monitoring. TN do not administer chemotherapy unless certified.

Required Credentials: RNs only - Clinicians who obtained RN degree outside of the U.S. and do not hold MO/IL/Compact license require extended licensing and compliance timeframe. No medical marijuana cards accepted.

Special Requests: You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing. Monthly parking passes may be available in the North Surface Lot for $73, the Clayton Ave. Building Southeast Lot for $63, or the Clayton Taylor Garage for $73; price and availability may vary. Orientation parking at the Laclede Garage costs $15; Barnes does not validate or reimburse the charge.

Unit Details: Adult patient population. The unit performs auto stem cell transplants and chemotherapy administration. The unit cares for BMT oncology patients with leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma, and complications from blood cancers, including GVHD.

Shift & Scheduling: BJC policy: Every other weekend required.

Floating Requirements: Float throughout the Oncology department as needed, including to the unit with the greatest need per shift; the assignment will not always be on the 9800 unit.
