Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Experience:
• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
• 2 years of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).
• Experience with Cerner is preferred.
Requirements:

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: Must have tele experience as well. Must have 2-3 years in specialty.
Preferred Skills/Experience: Pediatric experience preferred; if a traveler does not have that experience, they will not take pediatric patients.

Submission Limit: Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility. Eligibility as Current/Previous Employee: Must disclose previous employment on your resume or elsewhere within the submission for a DNU check.
Unit Details: The unit combines adult and pediatric medical-surgical telemetry. Common diagnoses and patient types include medical-surgical patients, COPD, postoperative cases, GI bleeds, OB/GYN surgeries, orthopedics, sepsis, altered mental status, chest pain rule-outs, stroke, cellulitis, and alcohol withdrawal. RNs are required to titrate heparin; common titratable or set-rate drips include heparin and Protonix. Nurses do not need to read and interpret their own telemetry strips. Respiratory equipment includes CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow. A hospitalist is available but not 24/7. The unit is very fast-paced; patients move in and out quickly, with an average length of stay of 3 days.
Shift & Scheduling: Weekend requirement: every other weekend or 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule. Self-scheduling is allowed to some degree; schedules are made out about 30-45 days in advance. Holiday work is incorporated into the permanent staff rotation. A call or standby requirement applies.
Floating Requirements: The clinician is first to float; floating may be to Telemetry or OB when the clinician has that experience.
Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 1. Start assignment restriction: 14 days
