Shift: 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 12 months within the last 12 months.

• High School completion required.

Requirements:

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at this facility cannot be submitted.

• Anyone who worked as Part-Time at this facility cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at this facility cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

Preferred Skills/Experience: 2 or more years of experience preferred. Ability to proficiently scrub 3 specialty areas including but not limited to: transplants, open heart, urology, neurology, titanium rib, robotics, etc. is highly preferred.

Required Credentials: Completion of the Surgical Technology program or an accredited LVN/LPN program is required. Certified Surgical Technologist or LVN/LPN license required.

Special Requests: Any employment gaps greater than 90 days must be explained.

Unit Details: Performs a variety of technical duties to assist in preparing and caring for pre-operative patients. Prepares patient skin for surgery in accordance with hospital standards. Maintains aseptic techniques and actively monitors situations that could lead to breaches in aseptic technique. Provides comfort and support for pre-operative patients. Transports patients to and from the operating room suite. Positions patients according to the type of surgery. Identifies and cares for biological specimens. Prepares the operating room by setting up tables, instruments, and supplies according to type of case. Under the direction of a professional nurse, performs direct patient care and assistance in the OR prior to and during surgical procedures. Establishes and maintains the sterile field, passes instruments and sutures to the physician, and assists as directed by the physician. Uses Epic.

Shift & Scheduling: Weekend requirement. On-call required.

Floating Requirements: Floating to PMC required.

14 days maximum time off

1 Charge/Lead/Supervisor reference required from within the last 2 years

Proof of identification required

• CST (Certified Surgical Technologist (NBSTSA))
