Warehouse Manager
A growing HVAC company in the Augusta area is seeking a dependable and hardworking Warehouse Assistant. This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in starting a career in the HVAC industry.
No HVAC experience is required. We are looking for someone who is organized, reliable, safety-conscious, and willing to learn.
Position Overview
The Warehouse Manager supports daily warehouse operations by receiving materials, organizing inventory, preparing outgoing orders, and helping ensure technicians have the equipment and supplies they need.
This position requires attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. The Warehouse Assistant may use forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment to safely move materials.
Responsibilities
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy, damage, and quality.
- Unload, organize, label, and store equipment, parts, and materials.
- Prepare and package outgoing orders and technician materials.
- Assist with inventory counts and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Help track products entering and leaving the warehouse.
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely when trained and authorized.
- Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
- Assist with loading and unloading company vehicles.
- Report damaged, missing, or incorrect items to management.
- Follow all company procedures and warehouse safety standards.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse, shipping and receiving, stocking, or similar experience preferred.
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and materials.
- Ability to perform physical work throughout the day.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Dependable attendance and reliable transportation.
- Willingness to learn about HVAC equipment, parts, and materials.
Preferred Qualifications
- Forklift certification or previous forklift experience.
- Experience using pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment.
- Familiarity with inventory management software or computerized inventory systems.
- Knowledge of shipping, receiving, purchasing, or inventory-control procedures.
- Previous experience working with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or construction materials.
