Medical Technologist / MLS - Excellent Pay + $10K Sign-On + Benefits

We are seeking an experienced Medical Technologist / Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) for a full-time, permanent night-shift position in Hudson, FL. The role performs routine and STAT clinical laboratory testing across Blood Bank, Chemistry, and Hematology in a fast-paced environment. This position offers $27.09–$37.92 per hour based on experience, a $2.50 per-hour night differential, $2.00 per-hour on-call pay, and up to a $10,000 sign-on bonus for night shift. Relocation assistance may be available on a case-by-case basis.

Shift: Nights, 6:30 PM–7:00 AM
Schedule: Rotating weekends

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and STAT laboratory testing accurately and within established turnaround times.
• Perform testing in Blood Bank, Chemistry, and Hematology.
• Analyze and interpret patient results using appropriate clinical judgment.
• Perform delta checks and identify critical or abnormal results.
• Complete quality control procedures and take corrective action when necessary.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.
• Process and handle patient specimens according to established procedures.
• Review pending and result logs and address outstanding work.
• Complete required documentation and maintain accurate patient records.
• Perform proficiency testing according to established requirements.
• Handle critical laboratory specimens and test results promptly and appropriately.
• Monitor laboratory supplies and reagents.
• Follow CAP and other applicable regulatory and laboratory requirements.
• Maintain required competency, education, licensure, and technical skills.
• Provide support and assume appropriate departmental responsibilities when needed.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum three years of experience as a Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Scientist.
• Associate degree in Medical Technology or a related laboratory field.
• Active Florida Technologist License, or the ability to obtain the license during the interview process.
• Strong experience in clinical laboratory testing.
• Ability to work independently and exercise sound clinical judgment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to laboratory quality and patient safety.

Compensation & Benefits

• $27.09–$37.92/hour, based on experience
