Freight Broker

We are seeking a Freight Broker to manage and grow transportation operations in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. This role will focus on sourcing transportation capacity, managing carrier relationships, covering customer freight, and ensuring shipments are handled efficiently from pickup through delivery.

• Source and negotiate capacity with carriers and owner-operators

• Cover customer freight while maintaining service and margin expectations

• Build and manage strong carrier relationships

• Coordinate daily with customers, buyers, and freight coordinators

• Track shipments from pickup through delivery and proactively resolve issues

• Monitor market conditions and pricing trends

• Provide exceptional service to customers and carrier partners

• Support the continued growth of the freight brokerage operation

• 2+ years of experience in freight brokerage, carrier sales, transportation, or logistics

• Experience negotiating freight rates and working directly with carriers

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change quickly

• Self-motivated with a strong sense of accountability

• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

• Experience with produce, refrigerated, or food logistics
