Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable, customer-focused Mobile Specimen Phlebotomist to join our field team. In this role, you will be responsible for drawing blood, collecting diagnostic samples, managing patient intake, and preparing specimens for transport. If you have strong venipuncture skills, attention to detail, and a passion for patient care, we'd love to speak with you!
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine and specialized specimen collections, including venipuncture, capillary draws, urine collection, and other diagnostic samples.
Handle patient registration, verify identification, and accurately enter demographic, billing, and order information into the intake system.
Provide exceptional customer service by answering patient questions, facilitating intake, and collecting co-pays/payments as needed.
Safely process, package, label, and ship specimens according to laboratory protocols for transport.
Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA guidelines, safety standards, and proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) use.
Ensure mobile supplies are stocked, organized, and properly sanitized for each patient visit.
Assist supervisors with additional operational or administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education: Graduate of a recognized Phlebotomy training program; High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience: 1+ years of practical phlebotomy and healthcare customer service experience strongly preferred.
Technical Skills: Proven proficiency in venipuncture techniques and accurate medical data entry.
Soft Skills: Outstanding communication, empathy, high attention to detail, and a strong work ethic.
Requirements: Valid Driver's License, clean driving record, and reliable personal transportation suitable for mobile collection tasks.
Work Location & Hours
Shift: Part-Time, Monday through Friday, 5:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Work Location: Mobile / Travel within designated local area
