Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical / Orthopedics

Location

Bismarck, ND | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 12-Hour Nights (Day/Night Rotation May Be Considered) | Every Other Weekend | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an Orthopedic/Joint Replacement unit, including assessment, monitoring, and medication administration
• Prepare patients for surgical procedures and administer blood products as needed
• Deliver patient and family education in alignment with Advanced Certified Total Joint Replacement Center quality metrics and standards
• Collaborate with CNAs and an interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Care for trauma and general medical-surgical patients in addition to orthopedic cases
• Float to medical-surgical units as needed; utilize EPIC for all clinical documentation

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (must be valid for the state of North Dakota)
• BLS certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience preferred; medical-surgical background required
• Must badge in and out at the facility for every shift
• Navy blue scrubs required; navy jacket optional
• Must have a permanent address more than 80 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Orthopedic nursing experience, particularly in joint replacement care
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic health records system
• Experience working with trauma patients in an acute care setting
• Comfort working within a team-based care model with defined quality metrics
