Contract (13 or 26-week options) | Days | 4x12-Hour Shifts (7:00–19:30) | 36 or 48-hour weekly options available

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to adult oncology patients on a 36-bed mixed acuity specialty care unit, including those receiving high-dose chemotherapy and complex medication and blood product administration — travelers do not administer chemotherapy
• Manage patient loads of up to four patients on days and up to five patients on nights, including Med Surg-level patients
• Administer IV drips as required across all floors
• Float frequently within scope to meet facility staffing needs across multiple units, including potential float to an off-site campus
• Document and chart using EPIC electronic health records system
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team including CNAs, care techs, transport, swoop/paramedics, and LPNs (where assigned)

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Nebraska license required; pending license accepted, though confirmed start date may be adjusted if license is not in hand at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a large, urban hospital setting; experience at a Level I Academic Medical Center may be considered in lieu of first-time traveler restrictions
• BLS certification required
• Proficiency with EPIC charting is required
• Must be prepared to float frequently to various units to meet facility staffing needs
• Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Weekend commitment expected: 4 weekend shifts out of every 8 possible within a 4-week period
• Holiday requirement: Expected to work 2 out of 3 major winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's)
• Facility is 100% nicotine-free

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification preferred
• Chemotherapy certification or background preferred
• Prior experience in oncology or mixed acuity unit settings
• Familiarity with bone marrow or stem cell transplant patient populations
