Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care in a hospital setting
• Assess patients with complex problems, incorporating physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs, and synthesize data to determine priorities for care
• Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to develop, update, and evaluate individualized plans of care
• Perform bedside point-of-care testing and apply healthcare organization standards, policies, and procedures in the delivery of care
• Communicate relevant clinical information to promote continuity of care and consult appropriate resources for patients with complex or high-risk needs
• Participate in unit goal development, performance improvement activities, and cost-effective care initiatives

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification (AHA or ARC)
• Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited school of nursing
• Minimum of one (1) year of nursing experience

Preferred Experience / Skills

• BSN or MSN from an accredited school of nursing
• Experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab or Electrophysiology (EP) setting
